NI Beef Expo, organised by the National Beef Association (NBA), is to take place at Dungannon Farmers’ Mart on Monday 26 February.

The main show event will include outdoor and indoor trade stands displaying the latest technologies and breed society displays, along with a series of technical seminars.

It will also incorporate the ‘‘Stars of the Future’’ calf show and sale, run by the NI Commercial Cattle Exhibitors Club.

Entry is free for all NBA members and £10 per person for non-members. The principal sponsor for NI Beef Expo is Dunbia.

Ahead of the main show day, on Friday 23 February there is an opportunity to go on a number of farm tours. They are to the finishing unit of Johnathan Price, Glenavy, the calf-rearing unit of Gary Fitzpatick and John Toland in Armagh, and the AFBI suckler herd housed at Loughgall.

Farm tour tickets, which include lunch, are priced at £24 for members and £30 for non-members. On the Friday evening, there is a NI beef industry dinner at Corick Country House Hotel in Clogher. As well as a charity auction in aid of the NI Air Ambulance, the event will include an after dinner speaker, Co Down beef farmer, David Martin. Tickets are £48 for NBA members and £54 for non-members.
