The 2018 National Dairy Council tag rugby championship is going to Tullamore Macra in Offaly this year after the club triumphed in Cavan Rugby Club, Drumavanagh, last week.
Fermoy Macra from Avondhu, Cork, was pipped at the post for the second year running in a very close, hard fought final. Speaking afterwards, Macra na Feirme national president James Healy said: ‘‘Well done to all teams for taking part and to our two finalists for an enthralling final. Tag rugby is one of our most popular competitions, thanks in no small part to our members and the National Dairy Council for their continued support.’’
