Kubota launched two new wheel loader models recently, the R070 and R090. With lift capacities of 1,880kg and 2,160kg respectively, these loaders are well suited to both agricultural and construction environments, according to Kubota. The smaller R070 model weighs in at 4,445kg, with the R090 model slightly heavier at 4,945kg.

Both models are fitted with Kubota four-cylinder Stage V engines churning out 50hp and 64hp respectively. Linked to these four-pot engines is a 20km/h dual-range hydrostatic transmission. Both front and rear axles are fitted with differential locks.

The two models offer the same maximum lift height of 3.23m, with an updated Z-bar linkage boom design. Hydraulic hoses have been rerouted to improve operator visibility. Staying on the hydraulic side of things, the smaller model has a hydraulic flow rate of 54l/min, with the larger model capable of 67.2l/min.

Kubota says changes have been made inside the cab in terms of control layout and operator comfort. Both models are offered with a digital dash and an adjustable armrest as standard. Air conditioning can also be added if required.
