Dominic on tour
Dominic Kirwan is currently on tour in the UK. The Omagh man is celebrating 25 years in showbiz and has put together a gala concert show to mark the anniversary.
He has also taken a break from the dancing circuit, concentrating almost entirely on the concert scene for the next few months.
Between now and the end of June, Dominic Kirwan will perform at shows all over England and Scotland, a part of the world that has always been good to him. He will include many songs from his early catalogue and ones that continue to be favourites with concert goers. For further details about the concert tour, see www.dominickirwan.com.
Steppin’ it out for Limerick nights
The Greenhills Hotel in Limerick has a long association with country music and dancing. The venue is home to one of the longest-established Thursday night dances in the country and continues to attract leading performers on a weekly basis.
Tonight, April 17, sees home county son Jimmy Buckley perform in The Greenhills. His new double compilation album, The Essential Jimmy Buckley Collection, which features all his major hits, has reached number eight in the official Irish charts. Dancers are in for a real treat.
