The European Parliament has approved new rules to strengthen farmers’ position in the food supply chain, promising fairer prices, stronger contracts and more bargaining power.

The new rules include a list of terms like ‘wing’ and ‘steak’ that can only be used to label meat products and cannot be used for products that do not contain meat.

While this new rule is welcomed, The Dealer was intrigued to learn that veggie burgers can continue to be called burgers.
