Centenary celebrations in west Cork appear to be like buses, you wait 100 years for one and two land together.
Hot on the heels of Lisavaird Co-op’s celebrations last weekend, it’s Barryroe Co-op which will take its turn this Saturday coming, 6 September, as it hosts an event at headquarters.
There’ll be family entertainment, memorabilia on display and the opportunity to have a tour of the mill as well.

I hear there’s talk of them bringing out a book on the history of the co-op later in the autumn too.
