The three-month search for an executive director and technical lead for Project Connect – or Our Food Connects as it will be known once operational – has prompted an inordinate amount of tongue wagging among those movers and shakers in farming who are more likely to feature in wrap around Ray Bans than wellingtons.
Our Food Connects will bat for the industry as a whole on thorny topics such as climate change, as well as lauding the positive impact of the industry nationally.

The word coming from my sources is that both roles will be filled by September, along with a board to oversee the new body.
The Dealer wonders who the new appointee is for the executive director.
They could well already be working with one of the main drivers of the initiative and will therefore be free to move pretty smartly.
