The Irish Farmers Journal took home four awards at the Guild of Agricultural Journalists awards last Friday. The Irish Farmers Journal news team won the best print award for the extensive and comprehensive coverage of the IFA pay scandal last November. Peter Varley won for his On and Off Farm series in the best technical category. Mary Phelan won in the best targeted campaign for her work on the Agri Careers earlier this year. Valerie O’Sullivan’s epic One Girl and Her Dog photo, which was published in the 13 February 2016 edition of the Irish Farmers Journal, won best photograph. The awards took place in the Castleknock Hotel and were sponsored by FBD.
