Tipperary dairy farmer Daniel Long has been appointed to the EU’s expert group on farmland.
Daniel is a co-founder of the Irish Land Observatory Stakeholders Group, which is advocating on land use, land management and land policy.
He also contested the Macra presidency in 2021, and was the original “individual farmer” back in 2019 when that grouping first emerged.
Furthermore, he and his brother Tom co-present Tipp Midwest’s farming programme on Wednesday evenings.
The old refrain of ask a busy person still applies, it seems.
