Moy Park getting plenty of exposure at the World Cup
Moy Park, the Northern Ireland based chicken company is getting plenty of exposure around the world because it's Brazilian parent, Marfrig is an official sponsor.
Viewers tuning in to see the World Cup in Brazil may have noticed the Moy Park brand advertised on the hoardings around the pitch. This is because the Northern Irish chicken processor is owned by the Brazilian Marfrig Group – one of the largest companies in Brazil and an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup.
The deal between Marfrig and FIFA means that whenever a South American team is winning, the Marfrig brand will be displayed and whenever a European team is winning, the Moy Park brand will be displayed.
The 2014 World Cup is being watched in over 200 countries by over 715m people.
