Bullock numbers were back on last Monday with 265 offered for sale in Bandon this week. Spring 2015 stores made up most of what was available and conformation had a big influence on price.
Friesian bullocks with better conformation were still making €1.65/kg to €1.70/kg but narrower stock were back a few cents on this. Similar to last week, plainer Friesian bullocks sold from €190 to €390 with their weight.
Hereford and Angus cross bullocks remained steady with most selling from €1.85/kg up to €2/kg. The best traditional cross bullocks made more with prices for these ranging from €255 to €730 along with their weight.

Numbers of continental bullocks were thin on the ground but sold very well making from €310 to €715 over their weights.

Heifers
There were 105 heifers on offer and prices ranged from €255 up to €545 over the euro per kilo. Angus cross heifers dominated what was available with medium stores and forward heifers making up most of these.

Three Hereford 340kg - €700, €2.06/kg
Three Angus 511kg - €1,055, €2.07/kg
Two Angus 500kg - €1,010, €2.02/kg
Two Hereford 410kg - €830, €2.02/kg
Calves
There was 120 calves on offer. Hereford and Angus bulls made from €190 to €350 for younger calves with up to €475 available for the runners. Angus and Hereford heifer calves sold from €175 to €290, with stronger heifer calves making up to €450. Continental bull calves made from up to €450 and continental heifer calves sold for up to €500.
Cows
Dry cow numbers were up this week with over 100 on offer. They made from €100 under to €685 over their weight.
