Thursday is decision day for Glanbia Co-op, as members descend on Punchestown in Co Kildare to vote on the proposal to purchase a majority share in Dairy Ireland, which includes the agribusiness and consumer food divisions.

The proposal is expected to achieve the simple majority needed. The associated spin-out, worth about €100m to shareholders, is also likely to get the two-thirds support needed.

The vote will be live on www.farmersjournal.ie.
