Numbers brought forward for sale were up slightly from last week and consistent for the time of year. A small number of short-keep continental cattle, mostly steers, over 600kg made £550 with their weight.
A larger proportion of cattle on show were continental stores from 400-500kg with steers making £450 and heifers £400 along with their weight. Good-conformation quality heifers often made more.
Younger cattle made strong prices accordingly, with good quality steers and heifers 300-400kg making £350-400 along with their weight.
