The National Sheep Breeders Association (NSBA) has cancelled its championships which was set for 23 May.
These championships were established two years ago and was the host show for many sheep breed society all-Ireland and national finals.
Ran in Cillin Hill, Co Kilkenny, the day attracted 10 different breeds, with a large show of commercial sheep also.
Attracting breeders and spectators from all over Ireland and the UK, it will be a big loss to the sheep showing calendar.
