Athina Onassis paid between €10m and €12m for Olympic show jumping horse MHS Going Global, partly owned by Co Tipperary show jumper Greg Broderick. Now it looks like Broderick reinvested some of his pay cheque in farmland in Borrisoleigh at auction last Thursday. He paid €2.2m for Fortwilliam House and farm.
Speaking of the horsey set, I see Coolmore is advertising two farming jobs at the moment. It is seeking a grassland agronomist/nutritionist to work across its bloodstock and cattle enterprises.

It is also looking for an assistant herdsperson for the beef enterprise to help the head stock manager.
