A lawsuit against Ornua which claimed that Kerrygold was misleading in its advertising has been dismissed in California.

Last summer a San Diego resident launched a lawsuit against Ornua which said that Kerrygold was produced using milk from cows that have not been 100% grass-fed. The judge dismissed the case in Ornua’s favour.

The plaintiff then filed a voluntary dismissal. In a statement Ornua said it believes its products are marketed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and that it will vigorously defend claims which propose otherwise.

Ornua said: “We are satisfied that the court in California accepted our position and granted our motion to have this lawsuit dismissed and we thank the Court for its time.”
