Organisers of last weekend's Pedigree Calf Fair and Beef NI Expo have said they are very pleased the inaugural event and plan to hold it again next year.
Organisers of the Pedigree Calf Fair and Beef NI Expo held at the King’s Hall in Belfast last Saturday have said the event will run again in 2016.
The inaugural event involved judging of 300 pedigree calves across ten different breeds and had 65 commercial trade stands.
Event chairman David Connolly said: “The initial feedback from exhibitors, sponsors, commercial trade and the paying public has been very positive”.

He maintained that there had been a gap identified in the market for a multi-breed beef calf show at this time of the year in NI.
Attendance
No official figure of attendance was available but the number of paying customers is understood to be significantly above the minimum required to cover costs.
The seminars in the sales ring, due to be delivered by a range of sponsors and event partners under the event theme, Beef Strategy 2020, did not manage to attract the public away from the judging and trade stands. The afternoon session of the seminars was cancelled.
