Well-known for manufacturing engines of all shapes and sizes, Perkins is set to make its Ploughing debut next week.

This news follows the company’s recent launch of its dedicated Irish online parts shop and the recent appointment of DiPerk as a new distributor for Ireland.

At the Ploughing, the firm is set to demonstrate how to use its aftermarket services available to those using Perkins engines. This includes its Irish online parts shop, stocking more than 30,000 genuine parts.

Smart Cap

The company will be displaying the Perkins Smart Cap. The firm claim this brings a legacy engine into the modern, data-driven age, and transforms workshop and service records. Replacing the oil filler cap, this is the world’s first low-cost, engine-level connectivity device. Smart Cap connects to a smartphone and, through the MyEngineApp, provides information such as running hours, service reminders and log and even engine location. Through the accompanying app, users can download service manuals and other technical material. It’s compatible with both mechanical and electronic engines.
