There was a great mixture of items available among the 180-plus lots in the unreserved auction held by the FTMTA on behalf of its members in Punchestown.

All types of farm machinery including tractors, silage equipment, fertiliser spreaders and sprayers were auctioned by Wilson auctioneers. People we able to bid on-site or online.

Tractors

There was a choice of 18 different tractors in varying brands and horsepower on offer at the auction.

A 2007 New Holland TS 135A with 10,813 hours made €16,500, while a 1995 John Deere 6200 with 11,002 hours and PowerQuad transmission made €8,750.

A 2009 Claas Arion 630 4WD with 2,000 hours made €17,000 and a 2006 Valtra T130 4WD with 11,000 hours made €11,500.

Telehandlers

In total, there were five telescopic loaders auctioned.

A Manitou MT732 with 3,600 hours made €29,000.

A JCB 535-140 Hi-Vis with hydraulic quick hitch, jacks and a 14-metre reach made €29,000.

Two farmers' machines were also keenly bid upon.

A 2013 Claas CP6030 with 6,626 hours and pick-up hitch made €23,500, while a 2012 JCB TM310s with 8,378 hours, complete with quick hitch, made €28,000.

Interesting lots

Other lots that caught the eye included a 2012 Vaderstad 4m strip-till drill, which made €27,000, and a Tonutti windrower capable of gathering 27ft of crop. This was knocked down at €5,000.

A Lely Welger baler with 22,000 bales on the clock made €8,500.

A Strauttmann Super Vitesse silage wagon that had been put through the workshop and was ready for work made €16,000.

Commission

Any lot that sold for €2,000 or less was subject to 15% plus VAT auctioneers’ commission per lot. Those lots sold for €2,001 or more were subject to 10%+VAT auctioneers’ commission per lot. There was a minimum commission of €50+VAT per lot on every lot with VAT payable on all lots.
