Overall prices at the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction fell 0.6% on Tuesday, with a decrease of 7% in anhydrous milk fat (AMF) prices the main factor in the fall.

The only other dairy index that fell was skim milk powder (SMP), which was down 1.8%. All other dairy product prices recorded increases.

Butter prices were up 4.1%, with an average price of US$5,494/t, and butter milk powder (BMP) prices rose 1% to an average price of US$1,988/t.

Whole milk powder (WMP) prices were up 1.6%, to an average price US$3,278/t.
