A small but nice parcel of land in Co Meath is going for auction next week.

This will be one of the final auctions of the year and the seller and the auctioneer handling it - James L Murtagh of Mullingar – no doubt is hoping that the good demand for all farmland in 2020 will still be around next week. There’s no reason to suggest it won’t be.

The property is 12ac and it’s at Killaconnigan, Ballivor. More precisely, the location is just off the R156, which links Mullingar to Dunboyne. It’s approximately 3km from Ballivor and 9km from Mullingar.

This is nice clean grassland.

As the pictures show, the land is laid out in one regular, level division. It’s nice grassland, which was reseeded in recent years.

It’s well fenced and there’s a natural water supply. There’s forestry alongside, so the ground benefits from good shelter.

The ground has been grazed by sheep, so is clean. These lands are suited for any farming enterprise, Murtaghs say.

The land will be offered in one lot by public auction on Wednesday 16 December at 3pm in the car park of the Greville Arms Hotel, Mullingar, unless previously sold.

To adhere with COVID-19 regulations, anyone interested in participating in the auction must register their attendance in advance.

The guide price on this land is €100,000 to €120,000.
