Coonan Property recently held a public auction for 40 acres at Macetown, Tara, Co Meath.
Bidding opened at €420,000 and rose in increments of €10,000 until it reached €545,000. At this point the property was put on the market and it sold to the buyer at €560,000, equating to €14,000/acre.
The farm is in one block and has excellent road frontage to a secondary road close to Rathfeigh village just off the N2. All in grass, most of the land is laid out in stud-railed paddocks with a central spine roadway.
