Waterford, Louth and Dublin usually have the lowest supply to the market each year and 2017 proved no different. With this in mind, it is unusual for a spate of smaller farms in Dublin to come to the market all at once. Offering these three holdings is John Cumisky of REA Cumisky, Dublin. The farms range from 12 acres to the largest at 46 acres, with the auctions taking place from 16 October to 18 October.
27 acres at Baldrumman
This holding is located near Lusk. Also offered in a single lot, it’s top-class tillage ground. It contains two access points and road frontage, which will certainly add to the expectation of sale. According to Cumisky, it would be ideal for either a farmer, or a businessman looking to open a garden or equestrian centre. The guide is for between €12,000/ac and €15,000/ac. It will be auctioned on 17 October at the Bracken Court Hotel in Ballbriggan at 4pm.
12 acres at Darcystown
The second of the farms is located at Darcystown near Ballbriggan, in north Dublin.
For sale in a single lot, it is divided into seven smaller paddocks. In great condition, it is in tillage. It is accessed via a laneway and right of way. The guide is €12,000/ac. It will be auctioned on 18 October at the Bracken Court Hotel in Ballbriggan at 4pm.
46 acres at Nevitt
This holding contains 26 acres of grassland and 18 acres of hardwood forestry. All in one lot again, it is good-quality grazing ground. There are three plots of forestry in varying acreages. This is aged between 15-20 years old, with two plots in ash and another plot predominantly in oak and scots pine. The guide is €12,000/ac.
This is an online auction that will take place on 16 October at 2pm-4pm. Contact the auctioneer for login details for the auction.
