Eden Farmed Animal Sanctuary, a vegan charity based in Co Meath which runs the Go Vegan World advertising campaign, has built up a war chest of more than €1.5m from donations in recent years.
Accounts filed by Eden Sanctuary show the organisation made a profit of €265,000 last year and had built up reserves on its balance sheet of just over €1.5m, including more than €400,000 in cash deposits.
Financial statements for the organisation show a sharp increase in funding levels in recent years.

From a standing start, balance sheet reserves for the vegan charity have risen from less than €100,000 in 2016 to over €1.5m last year. The company no longer discloses income and expenditure details.
Campaigns
The last time Eden Sanctuary disclosed these figures it showed income had soared from less than €120,000 in 2016 to almost €2.7m in 2018.
The accounts show most of this income was used to fund the vegan advertising campaigns that are prominently displayed on billboards around the country.
The charity has never disclosed the source of its funding.
