Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government Simon Coveney on Tuesday published the draft River Basin Management Plan for Ireland 2018-2021 and opened a six-month public consultation on the document. The policy covers environmental pressure on water quality, including from farming. The contribution of the National Sustainability Dairy Forum to these aspects is listed among the “most important measures in the plan”.
The consultation is open for comments until 31 August and can be found online at ifj.ie/riverbasin
