Instead, they were shocked to be told regulations had already been signed into law by Minister Shane Ross. The Dublin-based minister had quietly signed the Statutory Instrument on Thursday 21 September – when we were at the Ploughing.
Worse, a week after the Ploughing the RSA actually met the farm and contractor bodies – but didn’t inform them the new regulation had already been signed into law.
