Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow and ice warning for the northwest of the country.
All of Connacht, along with Ulster counties Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan, plus counties Longford and Louth, have been included in the warning.
It is forecast that there will be falls of hail and sleet, with snow accumulations mainly on higher ground. There will be icy patches on the roads also.

The warning is in place from midnight tonight until midday on Wednesday 3 April.
