Gale force winds have left 10,000 farms, homes and businesses without power as Storm Hannah makes landfall on Irish shores.
According to the ESB, the areas worst affected by power outages include west Cork, and the Iveragh and Dingle peninsulas.

A status red warning had been issued for Co Kerry and Co Cork, with wind speeds of 130km/h recorded.
Status orange and yellow wind warning have been put in place for other parts of the country and people are advised to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary journeys.

The ESB is working to restore power and has asked that members of the public do not approach damaged electrical cables.
They have asked people to report any damage to electrical infrastructure by calling 1850 372 999.
