In this week's Beef Management Adam Woods takes a look at weaning dairy beef calves, setting breeding dates for calving 2026 and controlling docks in 2nd cut silage.
There was also 18,104 application to the National Dairy Beef Weighing Scheme, 17,011 to the National Sheep Welfare Scheme and 1,947 to the CSP Dairy Beef Welfare Scheme.
Farmers who still have land details to finalise should ensure that they get their 2025 BISS application submitted by the deadline of 15 May 2025 and avail thereafter of the amendment facility.
