Making the switch to Dairy Farming

Michael Murphy from Bohergaddy in Bennetsbridge, Co Kilkenny, converted from beef and sheep in April of this year to dairy farming. The move was due to the continued decline in beef and sheep prices. It is a family affair, with Michael's wife Catherine and two sons Joseph and Connor helping with the milking. Michael and Joseph are going into partnership on the farm. / Philip Doyle
