The annual sale of Belgian Blue bulls in Carlisle took place on Friday, with three animals hitting the five-figure mark.

This bull was sired by the prolific Dafydd D’Ochain and out of Tweeddale Inhance a Tweeddale Ebony daughter.
Price tags
The second-top price of 11,500gns was hit on two occasions.
First at the money was Hallfield Nixon from Stewart Gill. This son of Tenace De La Praule is out of the dam Greystone Lilia.
Matching Nixon at the price tag was Sunnybank Orlando.
Bred by Henry Jewitt, Orlando is sired by the 15,000gns Bedgebury Kent while the dam is former show heifer Meadowrig Ladana.
Overall, the sale attracted a smaller entry than usual, which helped to boost demand on the ground.
This helped raise the average price by over £1,000 to settle at £6,022.
