Top 10 must-see tractors and loaders on display at Lamma 2016
Held on 20 and 21 January, Lamma is the UK's largest farm machinery show, with over 800 trade stands and free entry. Here are the machines not to be missed.
Lamma is held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough. Here are some of the highlights:
John Deere 9RX
The

A new face will be displayed at Lamma this year.
Deutz-Fahr
The Deutz-Fahr stand is sure to catch people’s eyes at Lamma. Deutz is extending the distinctive black liveried
Case IH Optum CVX
Case IH will publicly unveil its
Fendt 1000 Vario
Fresh from winning the prestigious title of tractor of the year at Agritechnica, the Fendt 1000 Vario series will be on display at Lamma.
The 1000 series is offered from 380-500 horsepower. Fendt claims it has been specially designed as a powerful draft tractor for the global market. The 1000 Vario features the new x5 S cab and award-winning Fendt Variotronic. Will any of these tractors make their way to Irish farms? Time will tell.
Bobcat Telehandlers
Bobcat will be showing the company’s new TL358+ AGRI and TL470HF AGRI telehandlers for the first time at Lamma. Bobcat skid-steers, compact-tracked loaders, mini-excavators and farming attachments will also be on display. Adare Machinery in Co Limerick is the main dealer for Bobcat in Ireland, so we can expect to see more of these products on Irish farms in the near future.
McCormick X7 VT Drive
At Lamma, McCormick will have its new X7 VT drive tractors on display. These machines use ZF’s latest continuously variable transmission – Terramatic. Offered in both four-cylinder 136-166 horsepower and six-cylinder 181-194 horsepower versions, the McCormick X7 VT Drive is sure to be a hit at this year’s show.
Strong Irish presence
Ireland is very strongly represented at Lamma, with more than 25 exhibitors from both north and south of the border. This shows how good a reputation Irish manufactures have for build quality and innovation.
