Calf numbers have dropped once again. Angus and Hereford calf prices are holding, with the average Angus heifer selling for €125/head, with better-quality types making over €160/head. Bulls are selling mainly from €170 to €200.

The number of Friesian bulls on offer is very low, with quality having a major effect on the prices paid. Plainer types are selling from €70 to €80, with better-quality types making over €100/head.

Continental numbers are still quite small, but prices are strong. Limousin bulls and heifers are making from €170 to €200 for heifers and from €200 to €250 for bulls.

Charolais numbers are low also, with prices from €350 to €450/head.
