Ireland's entry for the IFAJ's Star Prize for Print is Thomas Hubert and Pat O'Toole's exclusive reporting on the Revenue's so-called Kerry project in January 2017. The investigation exposed the campaign by the Revenue Commissioners to generate additional tax streams from Kerry Co-op shareholders.

Meanwhile, Hubert's multimedia story on efforts to build a dairy industry from the ground up in Kenya will represent Ireland in the contest for the Star Prize for Digital Media. The reporting combining text, photo, video and podcast received support from the Simon Cumbers Media Fund last summer.

Oonagh O'Mahony from IFP Media was selected to represent Ireland at the IFAJ-Alltech Young Leaders in Agricultural Journalism Bootcamp, and journalists in other broadcast and photography categories may enter the international contest directly.
Winners will be announced at the IFAJ congress in the Netherlands in July.
