Watch: first cows and calves turned out on Tullamore Farm

The cows and calves will spend the first few days close to the yard so Shaun can keep a close eye on them.

Calving is progressing nicely on Tullamore Farm, with 35 cows calved at this stage.

With poor weather conditions up to this point, there was no opportunity to get cows and calves to grass.

Thankfully, the farm missed the worst of the rainfall early in the week, which allowed farm manager Shaun Diver to get the first calved cows to grass on Thursday, with more planned for turnout early next week.
