Charity fund-raising has been made much more difficult by COVID-19, so hats off to WLR Fm’s Farmview team, who raised €8,700 in an on-air auction at Christmas.
With a range of items supplied by show sponsors Glanbia, Kieran O’Connor shook off the disappointment of Waterford’s defeat in the All-Ireland final to compere, and all records for the annual event were broken.
Proceeds were donated to St Vincent De Paul in Waterford. A heartening story in these difficult days.
