I was struck by the lack of women in the room on Monday at the first of six Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) consultation meetings. Of almost 200 people, I would say that there were fewer than 10 women.
Given the proliferation of women in farming groups over the last year, The Dealer expected there would be more women present to have their say on future farm policy.
Of course, attendance at the meetings isn’t the only way for people to have their say on the next CAP. They can make a written submission by email to cap_post2020@agriculture.gov.ie.
