Tillage farmer William Kehoe took home the top prize in the Macra 2 Furrow ploughing competition at the recent National Ploughing Championships. He had six points to spare in his win.

Macra na Feirme national president Seán Finan said: “Well done to all the participants in the NPA Macra ploughing class. Special congratulations to the winner William Kehoe from the Cushintown Macra club in Wexford and thank you to the NPA for hosting the Macra class at the 85th National Ploughing Championships. Congratulations and well done to all in the NPA on organising another very successful event. The NPA Macra ploughing competition is very important to encourage young farmers as food producers to learn and develop the ploughing techniques they need to cultivate the soil for the growing of their crops.”
