Co Meath auctioneers Smith Harrington recently auctioned a circa 104.6ac residential farm for a price in excess of its pre-sale guide. Guided at €2m, the property at Rathfeigh, Navan, Co Meath, included a stunning 2,500 sq ft Georgian house with a modern extension.
Proceedings were conducted by John Brendan Harrington and Kay Smith in their office in Navan on 27 February. There was strong interest in the property that was offered in three lots, comprising of the house on circa 3.8ac, circa 101.8ac and the entire lot.
There was a slow start to the auction but following an opening bid of €1.5m, a bit of momentum gathered until the gavel fell at €2.5m.

The house and yard on approximately 3.8 acres is offered in Lot 1.
This equates to €24,000/ac, significantly over its guide price of between €14,000 to €16,000/ac.
