A 47ac holding with farmyard and derelict residence is on the market in Co Meath.

The property is at Tanderagee Longwood. It’s being sold by TE Potterton and goes for auction next month. This is an executor sale. The guide price is excess of €10,000/ac.

The location is 6km from Rathmolyon, 12km from Enfield and the M4 motorway. It is 13km from Trim and 55km from Dublin.

The main holding is laid out in five divisions and has mature hedges on the boundaries and between fields. There is a well in the yard. The land runs down to the Keol River.

The farmyard has a three-bay hay shed and a cubicle house with approximately 40 cubicles. There is a small concrete yard, a dung stead and an open silage pit.

The land is all under old pasture but, according to auctioneer Thomas Potterton, it is suited to most types of farming enterprises including crops. The property will be offered in two lots as follows.

  • Lot 1 will be the derelict residence and the farmyard on 39ac.
  • Lot 2 will be 8.5ac of land on the opposite side of road.
  • To locate the land, take the R160 out from Trim and continue towards Longwood for approximately 10km. Then turn left on to the L0322 and continue for 1.4km to a T-junction. Turn left again and proceed for 400m and the land will then be on the left and right sides.

The auction will be held on Wednesday 18 May at 3pm on the auctioneer’s premises and will also run online on the LSL platform.
