Agri Aware and Alltech are to host a series of ‘shed talk’ webinars as part of their AgCredible initiative to discuss why agriculture’s is necessary to securing a sustainable future for the plant.

The fortnightly sessions which will involve discussions with expert speakers will start on 16 June.

The five talks will highlight research on a range of topics, such as the importance of livestock, the need for a sustainable food system and agriculture’s positive contribution to human health and Irish society.

The first session will take place on Tuesday 16 June and will feature a presentation from CEO of Futurity Jack Bobo a food foresight company that predicts food trends and helps companies prepare for them.

Other speakers confirmed include Taro Takahashi, research scientist at the sustainable agriculture sciences department, Rothamsted Research and Donagh Berry, director of the VistaMilk SFI Research Centre and statistical geneticist for Teagasc.
