A full-time and part-time stock person with experience is required for a pedigree cattle farm based in the midlands.

The candidate will be responsible for the daily management and care of the herd, working alongside the farm owners and preparing show cattle.

The ideal candidate will have excellent stockmanship skills and will be very organised, with excellent record-keeping abilities.

A typical working day will be consist of working eight to five and may require working additional hours during the busy calving season.

Farm assistant in New Zealand

Two positions are available on an Irish-run dairy farm situated in Invercargill on the South Island of New Zealand.

The farm is milking 850 cows through a 50-bail rotary shed fitted with ACRs, in-shed feeding and an automatic drafting system.

Experience in dairy farming is preferred. However, the owners are willing to train and help fill any knowledge gaps.

Ideally, the candidate is to start in mid-July for a duration of 12 months.
