Both heifers and steers paraded in front of the commercial judge Julie Sedgewick, with the females leading the charge.

Male commercial champion.Topping the display was the 10-month-old Limousin cross heifer Flo-Jo. This stylish black heifer was brought out by Dermot and Gareth Small of Strathearn Commercials, who secured the supreme championship for their first time having secured the reserve championship on a number of occasions.

Flo-Jo was sired by the 17,000gns Trueman Idol, an Elgin son out of the same dam as yesterday Limousin champion Trueman Noreen. Dam is the well-known show cow Chanelle, a Charolais Blue cross who collected near every top accolade in Southern Ireland for breeder Sean O’Brien.

The Small outfit were out in front of the steer classes also with Flo-Jo’s full brother coming up trumps.

Reserve supreme and reserve female commercial champion Posh Spice.The reserve supreme champion went the way of the heavy heifer class winner Posh Spice. This March 2016-born heifer was bred by Dale Robinson but was exhibited by new owners JCB commercials. Another black Limousin heifer, this time sired by Carmorn Cantona. Dam of Posh Spice is a Blue cross Limousin dam.
