Last week’s kill came in at 30,512 head, with the four-day week having very little impact on numbers. Most factories are only killing three to four days a week. Last week’s kill continues to run just over 5,000 head behind the same week in 2025, with the annual kill to date running almost 80,000 head behind last year.

There remains a 50c/kg gap between the Irish and British price, with a 40c/kg gap in the Bord Bia tracker between the Irish price and that of our main markets. Beef quotes in NI remain steady, with £6.32-£6.34/kg (€7.59-€7.61/kg including VAT). Tight supplies both north and south of the border continue to underpin the price.
