Justyn Botha, Appointed head of commercial, Dairy Ireland, Dairygold
Justyn Botha has joined Dairygold as head of commercial with Dairy Ireland, bringing more than 15 years’ experience leading sales and commercial functions across the sector.
Most recently, he served as head of sales for Australia and New Zealand at The a2 Milk Company, where he played a key role in strengthening retail partnerships. His background includes senior commercial roles with Swisse Wellness, PZ Cussons and Vitality Brands Worldwide, as well as managing markets across Asia and Oceania.
Speaking about his appointment, Justyn says, “I am excited to join Dairygold and to lead the commercial team, delivering best-in-class Irish dairy ingredients to customers around the world.”
Patrick Blake: Appointed managing director of Ornua Foods UK & Europe
Patrick Blake brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held several senior leadership positions across Ornua’s global business since joining the organisation in 2013. Most recently, Patrick has served as managing director of Ornua Foods International, where he has overseen significant growth of the Kerrygold brand, including high performance in Ornua’s home market of Ireland.
Speaking about his new appointment, Patrick says, “Having spent over a decade with Ornua across multiple international markets, I have seen first-hand the strength of our people, our brands, our long-standing customer partnerships and the global appreciation for quality, Irish grass-fed dairy. I’m looking forward to leading a talented team.”

Fergal Brady: Appointed senior account executive at McCarthy Insurance Group
Fergal Brady has over a decade of experience in insurance sales as an area sales executive with FBD Insurance plc in Navan, Co Meath. He specialised in generating new business and managing a strong client portfolio across farm, commercial, motor, and home insurance. Fergal also worked as an area manager with FBD Insurance in Cavan. Earlier in his career, he held a role in White Knights International and developed strong sales and client management skills while recruiting for agricultural and commercial industries.
Speaking about his new appointment, Fergal says, “In the current world of never-ending price increases, I will bring farmers and agricultural businesses bespoke policies covering their property and liabilities at affordable prices”.

Niamh Gunn: Appointed farm advocacy manager, National Dairy Council
From a beef and sheep farm in Co Cavan, Niamh Gunn previously held the position of marketing and events executive within the National Dairy Council (NDC). She was recently promoted to farm advocacy manager. Previously, she worked as an agri food executive with Bord Bia as part of its international graduate programme,

Donal Corrigan: Appointed area manager for Ireland and Scotland at Amcor Agriculture
Donal Corrigan from Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, has been appointed as the new Amcor Agriculture area manager for Ireland and Scotland. Amcor is the world market leader in the manufacture and supply of balewrap, net replacement film and clamp silage covers. With experience charting over 20 years working for major firms in the crop packaging industry, Donal has an understanding of the manufacturing process for the films used to conserve baled and clamp silage.
Speaking about his new appointment, Donal says, “I am delighted to join Amcor. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the Amcor agricultural customers during the spring season and also working with many agricultural contractors during silage season.”

Ada Freaney holds an MSc in sustainable development and has experience in sustainability consulting, research and large-scale events. Before joining Airfield, she worked in climate and sustainability advisory on projects across transport, infrastructure, policy and sustainable finance. In her new role, Ada will work across food, sustainability and education, turning complex issues into practical, engaging learning experiences.
Speaking about her appointment, Ada says, “I love to see research and food systems in practice from farm to fork, and how children and adults learn from and interact with it. Food affects all of us, and at a time of real pressure on the system, from farmers to consumers, that understanding has never been more important.”
