Two livestock boats will load with bulls for export this week.

Co Cork export firm Curzon is loading bulls for export to Libya, bringing close to 9,000 head the number exported there to date in 2019.

Last year, the total was 5,106 head.

The company hopes to have further shipments to Libya before year end.

It has praised the work of Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed and his officials in promoting cattle sales to Libya and other markets.

Quarantine

Later this week, Viastar will load bulls for Turkey following quarantine. It is the firm’s second delivery in recent weeks.
