Two years into the Claas-Liebherr collaboration that brought us the Torion loader range, Claas is now set to bring two new compact models to the UK and Irish markets.

The new Torion 639 and 535 remain articulated, with an overall height of less than 2.5m and are ideally suited to livestock farms and re-handling facilities.

Both 639 and 535 models are fitted with Yanmar 3.3l four pot engines, offering 68hp and 63hp respectively. Power is sent to the wheels via 20km/h hydrostatic transmission, with two speed ranges changeable at the flick of a switch – 0-6km/h in the first range and 0-20km/h in the second range.

The Torion 639 has a hydraulic system offering a max flow of 77 l/min while the 535 offers 70 l/min, both operating at 230 bar pressure.

Both loaders have an articulation angle of 10° resulting in a steering angle of 40° using a double acting steering ram.

The 535 model has a tipping load of 3,450kg at maximum articulation, with the slightly larger Torion 639 having an extra 400kg tipping load. Like their larger counterparts, both models’ booms offer Z kinematics, providing a parallel lift with buckets and implements such as pallet forks.
