Dale Farm has increased its base price by 0.25p/l for July, bringing the Northern Irish co-op to 24.25p/l.

However, the co-op pays an additional 0.3p/l on all litres as a loyalty bonus to its members. When factored in, this puts the co-op’s suppliers on a starting price of 24.55p/l for all milk delivered last month.

Earlier on Thursday, Northern Ireland’s largest milk processor Lakeland Dairies set its July milk price.

A 1p/l price increase puts its suppliers on a base of 25.25p/l before factoring in top-ups on milk quality and volume.
