Following two successive drops in July, the global dairy trade (GDT) has held steady with no change for the beginning of August.

The price of butter slipped again by 3.2% to €4,143/t ($4,802/t), while skim milk powder decreased by 0.3% to €1,701/t ($1,972/t) following an increase last time.

There were increases for the price of cheddar, by 1.3% to €3,160/t ($3,663/t), and rennet casein, up 8% to €4,289/t ($4,971/t). Whole milk powder increased marginally by 0.1% to €2,552/t ($2,958/t).
