Investment firm Apicem has acquired Dutch machinery manufacturer Vredo, the well-known over-seeder and self-propelled slurry tanker manufacturer.

Investment firm Apicem, based in the Netherlands, has acquired fellow Dutch firm Vredo Dodewaard BV, the manufacturer of agricultural and grassland machinery.
Apicem now becomes the new shareholder and partner, supporting Vredo in its continued growth and international expansion.
Supported by Apicem’s capital investment and strategic guidance, it has said the company will continue to invest in innovation, product development, international expansion and sustainability.

Background
Vredo was founded in 1947, beginning as a contracting business which adapted and began building machinery. It developed its first over-seeder in 1976, moving on to the slurry injector and the development of self-propelled slurry vehicles in the late 1980s.
